THE BIG BOOK WEEK TOUR 2009
Greetings to everyone I've seen over the last week or two! Here's a cheery wave for this week to KS1 at HIGHER LANE PRIMARY SCHOOL in Whitefield nr. Manchester, to KS1 classes at BIRCHFIELD PRIMARY SCHOOL and DRIGHLINGTON PRIMARY SCHOOL for Morley, Literature Festival nr Leeds.
Greetings too to BRONTE HOUSE SCHOOL, APPERLEY BRIDGE nr Bradford where I began this year's Book Week speaking to KS1 and Reception classes on October 5th.
An equally cheery wave to NORTH WALES and all the people I met when visiting some wonderful Denbighshire libraries during the rest of that week.
So a huge hello to the Year 2 classes from BODNANT INFANTS SCHOOL I met in PRESTATYN LIBRARY; Year 2 classes from ST ASAPH INFANTS & YSGOL CEFN MERIADOG I saw in ST ASAPH LIBRARY; YSGOL MAIR Reception Classes who came to see me at RHYL LIBRARY; Year 2 from RHOS STREET SCHOOL, and YEAR 3&4 from BORTHYN SCHOOL who came for alovely afternoon at RUTHIN LIBRARY; all the smiling Year Two from YSGOL Y PARC I met at DENBIGH LIBRARY, and finally the great KS2 pupils from YSGOL CLOCAENOG, YSGOL RHEWL & YSGOL PENTRECELYN who were there for my last session in RUTHIN LIIBRARY.
It was a very busy week but also very enjoyable! Thanks to all the librarians who arranged and helped with the visits and the teachers and helpers who brought their lovely pupils. HAPPY READING EVERYONE!
