Hello again. Sorry. Have just spotted that it's been more than a month since my last post. Here's some of the things that I've been doing.I've been away for a week with some friendly children's writers, staying in an old stone manor house near Oxfordshire. A very happy, energetic & useful time.
I've been working out my 2008-2009 tax returns, and sorting out other business matters.
I've been busy with visitors, both preparing, enjoying and also tidying up after.
I've been working on the early stages of a new novel. (Exciting but scary! Will it work? Just now I'm not sure, but there's several interesting characters to write.)
I've been posting occasional entries for the
Awfully Big Blog Adventure. (If you haven't looked at ABBA yet, do give it a glance.)
I've been preparing two storytelling & mask making sessions for
Knaresborough's 2009 feva Festival, one now done, one for next Friday, and also compiling a set of stories for
RHS Harlow Carr Garden with a Rain Forest theme. (If you came to any of these events, thank you. You were great!)
I've also had the colour proofs of my
FOREST FAMILY Start Reading quartet (Wayland), as well as a copy of my latest early reader
IN THE DEEP DARK FOREST (Watts) and a copy of the charming
WINTER MAGIC (Stripes) anthology, with one of my stories included. Hooray!
And I've started getting my diary sorted out for the 2009-2010 school year. Late August and early September is when the school visits calls start. So July and August has been quite busy really.
Hope to be back with more news soon - and hope you are having a good summer as well!
