Schools seem to be thinking about books and writing a lot this week, so three lots of "thank you" and a an e-wave!
It wasn't quite spring-like enough to spy any primroses at PRIMROSE HILL PRIMARY SCHOOL, Pudsey, but I spent some happy storytimes with the Early Years & Key Stage 1 children. Thank you all!
Wednesday was a Writing Day for some Year 2 & 4 children at MOUNT PLEASANT J& I & N SCHOOL, Huddersfield, plus some Year 2 children from DRYCLOUGH INFANTS SCHOOL. Thank you for all your stories. I hope you enjoy reading my books too.
By the way, Primrose Hill - with steps both outside and in - was quite a "hilly" school, and Mount Pleasant - with a twisty turny staircase - needed plenty of climbing. Thinks: shouldn't the names have been a clue? Thanks to all who helped me with all my bags and boxes! Very welcome!
Today, Thursday, I was just delighted to find that WESTFIELD SCHOOL, Cottingham was a wonderfully flat site. There's been spring weather (and no bad traffic) to drive through, and calming music playing when I arrived. all preparing me for a peaceful and excellent day with children from Reception through to Year 3 classes.
One big sleep, and then tomorrow, Friday, I'm off again, to FAGLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL, Bradford. See you very soon . . .
Awake at 6am, to collect everything together for a visit to
LAUREL AVENUE PRIMARY SCHOOL in Durham. Long drives there and back but a lovely day visiting all the classes.
Ooops! Halfway home, I realised I'd forgetten to write in the Visitors Book, so here goes: Fantastic time, with really friendly children and staff. Wishing you all a very good and restful "Easterless" break!
Plan to have a very early night tonight . . . Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz!
