Here we go for the NATIONAL YEAR OF READING!
Off and away at 6.30 am yesterday for my first event for THE NATIONAL YEAR OF READING
2008. Once I'd arrived in MANCHESTER
without getting caught in M62 traffic jams, everything was just happy and fine!
So a big friendly wave to the Reception and Nursery children from MOSTON LANE PRIMARY SCHOOL
and the Nursery Class from HOLY TRINITY PRIMARY SCHOOL
who came to see me at NORTH CITY LIBRARY
in the morning.
In the afternoon, at EAST CITY LIBRARY,
I was given a HUGE chair to sit on when I met some Reception children from SAINT BARNABAS PRIMARY SCHOOL
in the afternoon. It even had "Once Upon a Time . . ." carved on the back. It was rather like sitting in a giant's chair, so i'd better send a HUGE wave to all those children to match it. Yooohoooo!
Thank you to all the librarians who helped with the day too! I had a great time - and even got to see "The B of the Bang
" spiky sculpture as I was driven past on my travels.
