A BIG WILD SUMMER READ wave to everyone that I met today on my Doncaster Library sessions in WARMSWORTH COMMUNITY CENTRE, TICKHILL PAVILION, and BAWTRY LIBRARY. You were great audiences - and thank you to all the helpful library staff too!
Also, by a twist of fate, though I had NO make-up on and my hair needed doing, at least TWO photographers came to take pictures today, so I will now look like a BIG WILD AUTHOR to match the BIG WILD READ!
But I didn't care because I've had some nice commments from a couple of librarians about THE THIRD ELEPHANT book. Hurrah!

At last I've managed to get a picture of THE THIRD ELEPHANT cover on to my website! Big thanks to Jim. The site isn't quite right yet, and needs adjusting, but at least everyone can see HELEN CRAIG's beautiful picture now.
This week I'm mostly working on with my current story, with much muttering and pacing about, and worries over plot and pace and tension and characters and details and so on - but most importantly "Is the thing even interesting to read?"
ps. You are supposed to shout back "Yes!"
