This may be a last "HELLO" post on my Blog for a week or so, but I must send a big hello to the people who came to my sessions at Leeds Libraries this week.
So greetings to the children of CORPUS CHRISTI Catholic Primary School who came to Osmondthorpe Library, to the WHITKIRK Primary School classes who visited Halton Library, and to BEECHWOOD Primary School at Seacroft Library - all of whom I met on Wednesday.
And another big hello to my Thursday friends: Mrs. Hesketh's class from HUNSLET MOOR Primary School, who I met at Dewsbury Road Library, and Mrs. Shaws Class from EAST ARDSLEY Primary School who sat the orange carpet at the brand new Ardsley and Tingley Library.
And a big thanks to all the librarians who arranged it, and to the KIDSOUT charity that supported the visits. I'm looking forward to visiting some more Leeds Libraries quite soon!
Not much scribbling going on home here just now, as Autumn Book Weeks are clustering thick and fast - and most enjoyably, too.
So GREETINGS to all the children and staff of HYRSTMOUNT JUMIOR SCHOOL in Batley, LEE CHAPEL PRIMARY SCHOOL in Basildon, ST. EDMUNDS CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL in Westgate Street,Bury St. Edmunds, who've given me such fun days - and also to all the staff of WALSALL LIBRARIES who I met at the celebration of an amazing "Bostin'Book Bonanza" last Saturday.
This week is a busy one too. Thank you for a lovely Monday afternoon, all you Year 4 and Year 6 readers at NEW LAITHES JUNIOR SCHOOL in Horsforth, Leeds.(Thank you for the bit of yummy birthday cake too!)
But as for tomorrow . . . I'm waiting for news from an editor! Will I get the call . . or not? If it's a yes, I'll be living on cheese sarnies as I struggle with loads of writing, and if it's a no, this week will turn into a MAJORLY BIG chocolate biscuit event! Boo hoo!
